DISCOVERY 3 / LR3 System Checks The air suspension control module can store fault codes which can be retrieved using the T4 diagnostic unit. Reply. after u have turned the engine off can u hear any air leaks , ie from air tank or around that area , if u lift the cover off the compressor and have a good listen. if in doubt use some soapy water. once the engine has been turned off and compressor stops running u should only hear a single hiss. 1.
Only time I've got that message was when driving up the highway with a flat tyre. Suspension was attempting to compensate for difference in vehicle ride height. Stopped and pumped up tyre and everything returned to normal (had to replace tyre next day though). The suspension fault message was the only way that I knew there was something wrong.
Some alignment places have the equipment to put the suspension into tight tolerance mode. Tiger did it for me. Apparently the difference is that in tight tolerance mode the height at each wheel is checked every 3 seconds and adjusted as opposed to adjusting less frequently in normal mode. I assume you can leave the door open or pull the fuse
Its a long tube. Its purpose is to store compressed air at high pressure. It can take the compressor 2 -3 minutes to fill the reservoir. When the reservoir is full, and you select to raise the suspension, the system will use the stored air at a high flow rate to raise the car reasonably quickly. The compressor will cut in to start to refill the
ZrvRi. Air suspension is currently in fault mode. It will have to be re-set by someone who has the Land Rover scantool (either a dealer or an independent shop). The EAS system is inaccessible with a regular OBDII scantool. The car will not allow you to control the suspension height (raise/lower/defeat) until the fault is cleared. Please see this link.

I have had the compressor fail on my Land Rover Discovery 3, I installed reconditioned air compressor, the tank brought the vehicle back to height and fault code it goes off for a couple of days and its comes back again today.
The 2006 Land Rover LR3 has 10 NHTSA complaints for the suspension at 60,276 miles average. Suspension fault light comes on when driving. but when I put it in normal height, only the rear
